Training Programme for Spaniels

Personalised one to one dog training programme for spaniels, spaniel crossbreed and cockapoos from 5 months who require an in home assessment and a specific individual training plan for single or multiple issues.  

The programmes are individual to you and your dog are designed to help and support with any important issues. Including :understanding their individual needs, natural instincts & learn how to harness them, by building confidence, communication, relationship, improving recall, lead walking. Taking into account your spaniel's personality and your families experience and goals

So your programme could include:

  • Learning skills if required such as recall, retrieve, walking on or off lead, emergency stop and other skills
  • Fun activities that you can do together harnessing their natural hunting and chasing instincts  
  • Use of their natural motivations and appropriate reinforcers to achieve the best results 
  • How to accept your spaniel for who they are
  • Building your confidence, communication & relationship in real life situations

The Speaking Spaniel Training Programme includes:

  • An initial consultation/assessment (approx. 90 minutes) at your home for us all to meet and get to know each other and talk through your issues, and to formulate your individual programme
  • 3  or 5 x 60 minute sessions (usually fortnightly) held at your home, at my field near Canfield and where appropriate in an alternative suitable location
  • Programme plan and handouts where required
  • Email or voice message support

Covering Waterlooville, Havant, Portsmouth, Fareham, Petersfield , Clanfield, Horndean, Denmead & Emsworth for home visits. There will be an additional charge depending on your location outside these areas to cover the extra travelling time and fuel

Consultation & 3 session programme - £220

Consultation & 5 session programme - £320

Follow on block of  3x 60min sessions - £150

Single in home consultation/assessment - £90

Recommended equipment list:

  • Training lead minimum 2m with a clip attachment (not retractable)
  • Harness with a back connection ring (non-tightening)
  • Acme 210.5  or 211.5 gundog whistle and lanyard
  • Waist belt or belt attachment treat bag
  • Tasty soft treats 
  • Treat container (small sealed plastic tub)

We use gentle, rewarding & pain free methods of training to help you understand your dog's needs, personality & natural instincts while understanding the learning styles of you both and listening to your needs and goals.
